Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra Announces 2024 Concerto Competition Results
On Saturday, November 16, 2024, I was a Finalist in the Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Concerto Competition, performing movements II and III of Emmannual Séjourné’s Concerto for Marimba & String Orchestra. I finished in third place and will be performing with WSO in a pair of concerts in February, 2025.

Stonewall Brigade Band Bob Hanson Young Artist Competition
On Saturday, October 5, 2024, I competed in the Stonewall Brigade Band Bob Hanson Young Artists Competition. I performed the third movement of Emmannual Séjourné’s Concerto for Marimba & String Orchestra, winning my age division. Due to some logistical problems with the wind band arrangement, I will be performing the Nocturne from Alfred Reed’s Cocertino for Marimba and Winds with the Stonewall Brigade Band on December 16, 2024.

North American Brass Band Association Championships
This weekend, I had the honor of performing at NABBA with the Massanutten Brass Band. My classmate, Anna Richardson, and I were the only two high schoolers in the ensemble as we travelled from Virginia down to Huntsville, Alabama for this year’s championships.

Virginia Tech Day of Percussion
On March 23, I had the opportunity to take part in the Virginia Tech Day of Percussion sponsored by the Virginia chapter of the Percussive Arts Society. During the weekend, I took first place in the High School Solo Percussion Competition after playing Eric Sammut’s Four Rotations for Marimba, Rotations II and IV.
